It is now 10:40 pm and outside the stars of Orion and Taurus have now set, and are being replaced by
Cancer and Leo. We now look to the left of the Axial opening , and we are
confronted with the next bull in the panorama. This bull is perhaps the
most difficult to make out, with the star Procyon forming the hump of the bull
,and the weak constellation of Cancer making up the horns. There is however
a good clue in the head of this bull, where a circle of dots around the bulls
eye relate perfectly to the tight group of stars that go to make the head
of Hydra. Between the horns of this bull however, is a striking representation of Leo by the painting known as 'the floating horse'. It is so perfect, that it has replaced my traditional view of Leo, and will for evermore be a horse. |
